•Don’t miss our Preschool Story Time every Tuesday morning at 10:00am here at the library. Children preschool age and younger and their parents and siblings are welcome!

>Our Fairview Friends of the Library will be meeting Tuesday, April 17th at 6:00pm here in the Library. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

>Gena Brawley will be hosting a Mom’s Craft Day afternoon from 5:00pm to 7:30pm in the Training Room of the City Building. Come on out and join the fun!

>Come out for the Autism Awareness Program, put on by Sooner Success and the Fairview City Library. This educational program is free and open to the public, Thursday, April 26th, from 12:00pm to 1:30pm.

>Do you have a Kindle?  Do you enjoy reading on your phone or iPad?  Come on in and ask us about eBooks on OK Virtual Library!

• Our wifi is free, and available to the public 24/7. You  must be on or near the library grounds to use it, though. It is called ‘Free Library Wifi’ and there is no password to use it.

Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church on March 7, 1997, with the Reverend Chuck Gilbert officiating.

Katherine Heloise Acre was born in Lake Providence, Louisiana, on April 18, 1912, to John Neal and Birdie Ruth Riddle Donovan.

She married Eugene Smith at Lake Providence, Louisiana, on May 26, 1929. He died in 1962.

She married Otha Acre in Canton on April 11, 1966.

She is survived by two sons, George Smith of Canton, and Wesley Smith of Ringwood; four daughters, Eugenia Murray of Amarillo, Texas, Jacquelyn Ingram of Enid, Dede Bond of Oakwood, Rebecca Throgmorton of Panhandle, Texas; one stepdaughter Gari Sue Gros of Arlington, Texas; one sister Jacquelyn Hollis of Talula, Louisiana; two brothers Dr. Wesley Donovan of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Kenneth Donovan of Baytown, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
