Library News

•The Library will close early at 3:00pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, for Thanksgiving. We have a Drop Box Slot on the north side of the building, in the alley, for after-hours book returns. Please have a safe holiday!

The Belles & Books Club will be meeting Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm here in the Community Room of the City Building. The gals read Silver Bells by LuAnne Rice. Bring a lunch to share and join the food, fun, and fellowship!

• Come see the OKC Zoo program ‘Gotta Go!’ A great family program! Friday December 22 at 10:00am in the Fairview Community Center.  And a ‘Special Guest’ just might make an appearance!

• Check out our Facebook page here !

• Our wifi is free, and available to the public 24/7. You  must be on or near the library grounds to use it, though. It is called ‘Free Library Wifi’ and there is no password to use it.

• Make sure you have a good book – or three – to curl up with on a rainy afternoon!

Edward E. Abram was born in Gravemont on January 1, 1918; parents unknown.

He married Maxine Walters, date unknown.

He is survived by his wife Maxine; a stepson Gerald Heatherington of Wichita; two stepdaughters Glodine Clements of Lenexa, Kansas, and Judy Dwyer or Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters Lavada Malone of Ames and Genevieve Crow of Enid; two brothers Bill Abram of Wichita, Kansas, and Jerry Abrams of Bentonville, Arkansas.
